I am a total fan of the Sex Education series (Netflix).
Especially of the representation of diverse, complex and nuanced female characters.

Aimee Gibbs interpreted by Aimee Lou Wood . A powerful and hilarious character who empowers and fights her trauma like a queen by the strength of female solidarity.

Maeve Wiley interpreted by Emma Mackey is a social outcast, strong and endearing character. She fights her fear of abandonment and rejection with tenderness and vigor. One of the most responsible, mature and committed character of the series.

Dr Jean Milburn interpreted by Gillian Anderson. Full of contrasts, sensitive and inspiring.

Lily Iglehart interpreted by Tanya Reynolds is certainly the most hilarious, spontaneous and creative character. Her adaptation of Romeo and Juliet in alien disco show is fantastic.

Ola Nyman interpreted by Patricia Allison. We follow her in the discovery of her friendships and romances sometimes awkward but always cute. A super Queer character.

Viv Odusanya interpreted by Chineye Ezeudu, the coolest nerd I’ve ever seen : a young black woman smart, supportive and sassy!
