Olympics in France—the perfect opportunity for me to dive into the world of sports!
The night before I began this series, I even dreamed of being part of a professional rugby team—the only difference being our "ball" was a butter dish... 🤷 Anyway, team spirit is something I cherish both personally and professionally, and this series is above all a way to test my creative strength like an athlete.
As I already enjoy portraying bodies in motion, particularly in expressing feelings of power and accomplishment, I wanted to work on progress and new poses.
To achieve this, I stuck to a daily routine: one hour every morning for 14 weeks.
The goal: creating a series of accomplished athletes, ready to win!
Before focusing on Olympic events, I began with sketches of underrepresented women in sports. In my work, I enjoy depicting relatable characters, and portraying these athletes lets me connect with them during the drawing process.
1st step: sketches
Thanks to consistent daily practice, I was able to break through creative blocks and navigate the highs and lows of creativity.
Rhythmic and synchronized gymnastics turned out to be my kryptonite.
After a week of wrestling with my drawing tablet, it became clear that the sport and I just weren't meant to be—not in real life, not in digital, not even in a parallel universe. That's how I went on with the runner.
2nd step: colors
Creating these characters has been rewarding, reminding me of my inner strength and growth potential.
I quickly created a colorful atmosphere to immerse myself further. Establishing a vibrant color palette is always a way for me to find motivation and push myself to complete a project.
3rd step : refined illustrations
It's game time!

These characters were created with a mix of human intelligence, butter dish, plaintive tears, and perseverance. Thank you for your support.
